Cemented Ball Drop Completions
Typical applications for Multi-Stage Fracturing (MSF) with Cemented Completion Systems using ball-activated sliding sleeves:

  • Cemented Limited Entry MSF Completions

    • Available in 114mm (4 ½ in.) in 10k psi rating, or 140mm (5 ½ in.) in a 15k psi rating
    • Up to 400 stages with limited entry fracs
    • i-Frac valve systems can be run as liners or monobore installations

  • Cemented Extended Reach MSF Completions

    • i-Frac limited entry valves are used beyond the reach of coiled tubing
    • Coil-shifted sleeves can be opened/closed for additional wellbore control
    • Coiled Tubing shiftable sleeves are used closer to the vertical section of the well

  • Open Hole Monobore – Cemented Upper

    • 114mm (4.5 in.) and 140mm (5.5 in.) systems
    • Open Hole or Swellable Packers for isolation
    • i-Valve CT Shifted Valve for Stage Cementing
      • Upper string cemented on CT or drill pipe
      • Positive indication of displacement using darts
      • Upper completion wiped clean with the cementing tool
      • No debris left in the well

Open Hole Ball Drop Completions
Typical applications for Multi-Stage Fracturing (MSF) with Open Hole Completion Systems using ball-activated sliding sleeves:

  • Open Hole Single Stage MSF Completions

    • Available in 114mm (4 ½ in.) or 140mm (5 ½ in.) in 10k psi rating
    • 1/16 in. increments available to maximize the number ofstages. Over 40 stages can be completed.


  • Open Hole Limited Entry MSF Completions

    • Available in 114mm (4 ½ in.) or 140mm (5 ½ in.) in 10k psi rating
    • Up to 400 stages using the Trican i-Frac limited entry sleeve
    • May be installed as a monobore or liner system

Coiled Tubing Cemented and Open Hole MSF Completions

  • BPS (Burst Port System)®
    • Cemented BPS® MSF Completions

      • Available in 114mm (4 ½ in.) and a variety of other common liner sizes
      • The number of stages is limited by wellbore geometry and the reach of coiled tubing
      • Selective fracturing on coiled tubing

    • Open Hole BPS® MSF Completions

      • Available in 114mm (4 ½ in.) and a variety of other common liner sizes
      • Unlimited number of stages depending on wellbore geometry and the reach of coiled tubing
      • Coiled tubing fracs
      • May be run as a monobore or liner

  • i-Valve
    • Cemented Extended Reach MSF Completions

      • i-Frac limited entry valves are used beyond the reach of coiled tubing
      • Coil-shifted sleeves can be opened/closed for additional wellbore control
      • CT shiftable sleeves are used closer to the vertical section of the well

    • Cemented Full Bore MSF Completions

      • Valves can be selectively opened and fractured with coiled tubing
      • The number of stages is limited by wellbore geometry and the reach of coiled tubing
      • Coil-shifted sleeves can be opened/closed for additional wellbore control
